Henrique Sungo has concluded his term as Secretary for Cultural Action and Social Promotion of the Confederation of Angolan Associations in the United Kingdom (CAARU). A respected filmmaker and writer, Sungo leaves the position expressing a strong sense of satisfaction and fulfillment, describing his experience in leadership as enriching on both a cultural and institutional level.


During his tenure, Henrique Sungo made a meaningful contribution to the strengthening of cultural and social initiatives within the Angolan community in the UK, helping to promote cultural identity and community cohesion.


With the end of his mandate, the department he previously led ceases to exist in its former structure and is now redefined under a new entity, the Secretariat for Cultural Action, Youth and Sport, as part of CAARU’s internal reorganization process.


In his closing remarks, Henrique Sungo expressed his sincere gratitude to CAARU and particularly to its President for the trust placed in him and for the opportunity to be part of such a valuable and impactful project for the Angolan diaspora.
